CALABASAS, California — Motorists traveling through the intersection of Calabasas Road and Mureau Road should continue to allow extra time for a roadway reconstruction project that the city expects to extend into early 2027.
What is being built
The City of Calabasas project page describes a single-lane roundabout with new sidewalks, curb and gutter, pavement and pedestrian access improvements. The city lists a construction period running from June 2026 through February 2027.
How traffic is affected
According to the city, traffic at the intersection has been reduced to one lane serving both directions during construction, with portable traffic-control systems managing the flow. The city advises drivers to expect delays. This is an ongoing construction schedule, not a guarantee that work will be finished on a particular date.
Drivers should follow current temporary signals, construction crews and posted signs instead of assuming the intersection has already reopened to its previous configuration. Pedestrians should use designated routes and avoid entering work areas.
How residents can get updates
The city lists project contacts Tristan Leger (TLeger@cityofcalabasas.com) and Jay Dinkins (JDinkins@cityofcalabasas.com). The official project page is the appropriate place to check progress and changing traffic conditions before a trip.
